Five were the interventions that gave life to the workshop Design and Technology of the new Metal Surfaces, which Planium held in its exhibition space of the MetroQuality office in Via Solferino 24, in the heart of the historic Milanese district of Brera. Shaping the raw material with customized projects, supported by the parent company Terenzi Srl, Planium has been making floors and coatings with metal finishes for over twenty years now, with functional and innovative installation systems.
Participants and protagonists of the speeches were Luca Terenzi, CEO of Planium, who reported in a dual intervention of the technologies applied in the industrial transformation of metals and the special projects of the company in recent years: the Cordusio area in Milan, Ducasse sur Seine in Paris, the personal museum of motorcyclist Giacomo Agostini, the Museo del Novecento in Florence, the Scuola Grande of Santa Maria della Misericordia in Venice. It was then the turn of Massimo Politi and Orazio Dal Farra, of the Planium Manager area, who illustrated the characteristics of the company loose-laying floorings: PL01 Invisible, MG01 Magnetic, SM02 Evolution, AP01 Lay with a discourse on the eco-sustainability of reversible dry-laying and the recyclability of materials. In closing, the intervention of the Civil Engineer Marco Veronesi focused on the MR01 Modulo Radiante product, the raised flooring by Planium with an integrated hot/cold radiant system, whose strength lies in the combination of functionality and comfort.
A particular space has been reserved for the intervention of the Architects Gianandrea Barreca and Marco Chiodaroli of the Barreca & La Varra Studio, who explained the difficulty of the prestigious redevelopment project of the nineteenth-century complex in the Piazza Cordusio area in Milan, executed together with Planium as regards the anodised aluminum covering of the pillars of the inner courtyard, overlooking Via Cantù.
