Everything has the flexibility that distinguishes us.

Planium offers the possibility to integrate its various flooring systems with complementary accessories, such as skirting boards and thresholds or marker lights, manholes or ventilation grilles.

A specialized team will study and implement ad hoc projects or work combined in co-design with the client, who desires it.

Thus design combinations will grow new and innovative: the metal tiles of the systems can be customized with logos or designs, with engravings or laser prints of the latest generation, or you can request specific finishes with surface treatments, or we can change the sizes and the standard geometries of the modules. Finally, we can create stairs, structures, coatings, lighting systems, divider walls etc.

LAYING SYSTEMS

Research and innovation combined with industrial know-how originate Planium surfaces, creating unique Floors and Wall coverings.

All floor or wall Systems have an INNOVATIVE, FUNCTIONAL and RENEWABLE DESIGN. They allow fast dry installations, respecting the environment, with simple laying or with patented mechanical or one-click hooks between tile and tile, or also traditional installations with glue.

Each tile is made of QUALITY materials. Their design was created to be functional, eco-friendly and sophisticated. Their millimeter thickness makes them lighter and easier to handle, even if they have a large size.

Mapei Trade Fair Booth

Planium has always been cooperating with absolute prestige partners. Mapei, an Italian company known throughout the world in the construction sector, requested our designers for the project of a booth at CERSAIE 2006 in Bologna. The Planium technical office, on a design by Arch. E. Nannini, has created an incredible expositive space: loose-lay and raised SM01 SISTEMEMEN systems create surfaces and levels. Elements studied with special shapes and sizes complement the setting. The bright EMBOSSED STEEL flooring accompanies Mapei's success in two trade fair editions. The rapidity of laying guarantees the fast completion of the installation. When the event is over, the structure is quickly removed, ready for later use at another location.
Poste Italiane Exhibition Booth

Poste Italiane chooses Planium to build an elevated booth with a steel finish. The SE02 COMPACT FLOOR system, raised technical floor, is combined with an EMBOSSED STEEL finish, that gives shininess and prestige to the exhibition booth.
Roadhouse Lumen

CUSTOM coatings by Planium and lights by Elementi di Luceplan, together in an emotional path, in Florence a few years ago, at the inauguration of the new Lumen showroom in Via San Niccolò, 47rosso. The space was created to house temporary events for lighting professionals. The CALAMINE steel of the flooring, with dark and deep tones, creates a "night" environment, ideal for the presentation of the new collection of architectural lighting of Elementi di Luceplan. The story of light and shadow, deep in the cobalt blue glow of the atmosphere light and in the dark, vibrant tones of Calamine, enhances the technical heads and modular features of the luminaires and finds large flow and appreciation from the visitors.
Sant'Andrea degli Scozzesi

In the baroque Sant'Andrea degli Scozzesi, built starting from the end of the 16th century, with a single nave, our system MR01 MODULO RADIANTE, raised with a hot/cold water integrated system, was laid. All the metal finishes of our collections are easily applicable to the raised radiant floor with a removable and dry laying. With this union we made a perfect combination, the beauty of the surface to an optimal comfort of the environment. The air conditioning by irradiation eliminates air shifts, circulation of dust, blows of heat and cold, typical of traditional heating systems, and air dryness. MR01 operates at low temperature with lower energy demand leading to a reduction in operating costs of the plant. The irradiation from the bottom to the top also avoids the dispersion of heat, even in the presence of extremely high ceilings, such as that of the church. The structure of MR01 has also been designed to allow totally dry installations, sturdiness and punctual removability. The shape and the filler of the modules, as well as the load-bearing structure, have been designed to guarantee maximum resistance and soundproofing when walked on.
Interware Atelier - M. Galante & T. Lancman

Planium provided the flooring and the coating for the staircase of the stunning Parisian Interware studio by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman. The finishing choice has been CALAMINE, laid with the removable SM02 EVOLUTION system. The elegance of the floor combines perfectly with the dynamic and creative context of the showroom. At the end of the installation the wax treatment has been applied and the coloring has become intense and homogeneous. The laying has been done in a very fluid and quick way and no odors or noises have been created; the working activity can continue without interruption or inconvenience.
Scuola Grande della Misericordia

The restoration of the magnificent Great School of Santa Maria della Misericordia in Venice, organized by Arch. Alberto Torsello, ended in 2016. This jewel of Venetian architecture, priceless heritage of art and sumptuous palace, was an incredible setting for one of Planium's most innovative flooring systems: PL01 INVISIBLE. The finish in CALAMINE, in large format tiles, 1,200x1,200 mm was laid totally dry, thanks to the patented hook system. The nuances of this metal range from gray to blue, to oil color. Surface oxidation, accelerated by the lagoon climate, has made these dark tones warmer and more coppery. The obtained aesthetic result enhances the whole space. The uniqueness of Calamine echoes the uniqueness of the place. In the first month of opening to the public 21 thousand people visited the halls of the building, walking on the Planium floors. In the project of the restoration of the School the Arch. Torsello has predicted that "the floor should be in the first place the frame of all that is the historical stratification of the Palace". The targeted choice was, therefore, perfectly scaled with the history and aesthetics of Misericordia and respectful of the Sansovino form. The metal plates have given an industrial look to the floor which, with a thickness of 4 mm, is non-deformable, thus also suitable for the vast public transit and the intended use of the historic building. Calamine also has the peculiarity of "living in time", changing its appearance in terms of light, humidity and use. This material, during the time the site was being built, is then matured in such a way as to become the historical memory of the building site itself. The ground floor was deliberately laid six months before the start of the other restorations, so as to be the background of the entire construction site and to start to "acquire time".
Ceramiche Coem Temporary Work Space

BRUSHED SMOOTH STEEL is synonymous with infinite, luminous elegance. Resistant, practical, functional, suitable for any residential or working environment, the types of steel with which we work are absolutely well-performing. One example is the choice of Coem Ceramiche to create the flooring of its Temporary Work Space in Fiorano with our SM02 EVOLUTION, brushed steel finish with pre-cut ad-hoc laser-sized plates and ready for fast installation.
Palazzo della Signoria

The Ticket Office of Palazzo della Signoria in Florence has a new aesthetics. The CALAMINE slab coating is installed on the walls behind the desks with the AC02 STICK-ON system. Each lot of Calamine is unique in its chromatic nuances. In this case, the large dimensions of the plates reveal the darkened anthracite tones of blue. The foyer of the Roman Theater under Palazzo Vecchio and the new layout of the archaeological excavations were inaugurated shortly after the Planium installation.
Nexion International Pvt Ltde Booth

In the Nexion booth, CALAMINE and porcelain stoneware are put together, complementing each other in a set designed to emphasize elegance and originality. In the scenery of the refined show, singular pieces of art and design are distinguished, resonating with the exclusive originality. The 160 m² surface is covered with Planium flooring with a dark tinted Calamine finish, composed by the tiles of 600x1,200 mm size, loose-lay PL01 INVISIBLE system with a practical one-click hooking. Cersaie concludes with an attendance of 111,604 visitors and an increase of 4.7% compared to the 2016 edition. The prestigious booths are removed, sold back, the exhibition scene is released to leave room for new themed exhibitions. Planium remains: reversible and repositionable, the system is easily relocated to Nexion plants. The uniqueness of the finishing material, Calamine, will always be a scenario for new environments.
DASA

We would like to reserve a particular framing to CALAMINE, the absolute protagonist of some of the many excellent museum scenarios made by Planium up to now. Planium coats countless historical spaces with Calamine, making them even more evocative, highlighting the artistic and cultural heritage that they hold and preserve. Towards the end of 2017, work began on increasing the exhibition space at the DASA in Dortmund, a museum dedicated to man, work, technology and innovation linked to these issues. The new exhibition area will illustrate the 'Future of Work'. Once again, Planium by Terenzi Srl was chosen to realize the floors in the hall. The Calamine finish, in dry laid tiles with the PL01 INVISIBLE system, with the over-sized 1,200x2,400 mm format, covers and enhances the environment. The innovation present in the dry laying system, reversible and one-click, the contemporaneousness of the Calamine finish, its recyclability, the industrial aesthetics it generates, perfectly integrate into the museum context.
Astep ApS Exhibition Booth

Euroluce is the biennial exhibition that presents the most cutting-edge solutions in the field of indoor and outdoor lighting. With the last edition, the 30th, the trade fair was confirmed as an international reference point of the sector. Astep, an Italian-Danish reality of absolute prestige, is among the best brands and designers of the trade show.Astep combines experience, the future-oriented perspective and the passion for lighting design that has been cultivated in the Sarfatti family for three generations with knowledge and an open mind in a continuous search for meaningful substance and design. In this world of splendid creations, Planium adds the ideal exhibition space. MG01 MAGNETIC Floor is the most effective installation system: the attraction of the magnetic substrate allows a static tile support.With a quick and essy installation, the plates of our flooring system are placed on the surface to be covered. The millimeter thickness allows to handle every single element with agility and precision. The exclusive CALAMINE finish enhances the space. The tones range from carchoal gray to blue, with fast copper flames. Each plate, size 620x2.480 mm for a total of about 100 m², is unique and unrepeatable, with the typical properties of hot-worked metal. In just a few hours, the perfect location can be set up to welcome clients and visitors. Planium provides immediately walkable floors, comfort and resistance to transit. To complete the elegant surface, profiles have been specially designed to finish the project. The tiles, at the end of the event, can be removed and assigned to a different location: their use and repositioning is infinite. The Astep lamps VV Cinquanta, Model 2065, Nox are produced by Terenzi Srl.
Redevelopment and Enhancement of a Nineteenth-Century Complex

In the heart of Milan, a stone's throw from the Duomo and the Ambrosian Library, on the corner between Via Orefici and Via Cantù, in the Cordusio area, stands the late Nineteenth-Century building that has acquired, with the important redevelopment carried out in 2019, a mixed destination, directional and retail. The project conceived and coordinated by the architectural firm Barreca & La Varra of Milan and carried out by the general contractor Nessi & Majocchi spa on 12,000 m², was defined in compliance with the most modern sustainability and efficiency criteria, in line with the best international quality standards. Particular is the inner courtyard of the building that overlooks Via Cantù. The new glass roof of the courtyard filters the light that falls inside it, illuminating it directly. Here, the pillars and beams were covered, as planned, with CHAMPAGNE-colored ANODIZED ALUMINUM plates. The project was entrusted in its implementation to Planium by Terenzi Srl. The metal plates were cut and pre-shaped in the production departments to then be applied with precision in place. The aluminum coating increases the refractivity of the light rays on the ground floor, "heating" the rooms. In the champagne tone of contemporary metal claddings, the ancient nineteenth-century walls are reflected, like in a mirror, their style, their material and their history, in a perfect harmonious balance. The elegant appearance is combined with the innate lightness, the ductility, the recyclability of this special metal. the architects Gianandrea Barreca and Giovanni La Varra illustrate here the design choice adopted: "We wanted to maintain the centrality of the courtyard, making it the occasion for a contemporary doubleface graft, creating a double-height environment with a steel cover and volumetrically complex glass: the new cover is transparent and lets light pass on the commercial ground floor, but it is mirrored towards the upper floors destined to offices, so as to multiply and reflect the historical facades that overlook. The ground floor cladding in gilded metal panels creates an unexpected treasure chest, which can only be glimpsed from the outside. The alignments of the structural elements were taken from the passage of the openings, already coordinated in the existing with the design of the pavement of the courtyard; the plant terminals are integrated in a sober and minimal design". Ducasse sur Seine

The new Ducasse Sur Seine restaurant was opened on September 2018. It is a 40-meter boat with an electric motor specially designed by the naval architect Gérard Ronzatti. The restaurant's interior design needed to reflect the excellence of the world’s most Michelin-starred living chef, as well as the novelty of this directional project. To meet this challenge, the partners, Citysurfing, Ducasse Paris, and Caisse des Dépôts, commissioned the talented duo of couturier-designer Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman, who they entrusted with the creative and cultural direction of the floating restaurant. The Seine and its barges epitomise the beating heart of Paris, and the flow of the river inspired Galante and Lancman design of the restaurant's interior. This concept carries the notions of movement, reflection, and fluidity of water, as well as "shapes of water", expressed through a multitude of facets, from furniture to tableware. The designers also strived to highlight French know-how and the beauty of exceptional craftsmanship. To harmonise with the magnificent environment, encompassing Pont de l'Alma and the Jena bridge, the Eiffel Tower, and passing boats on the river, the two designers created a visual language directly inspired by the movement and reflections of the Seine. By bringing the exterior inside, they have conceived Ducasse Sur Seine’s particularly exquisite atmosphere to synch with its surroundings. Motifs of waves and ripples are explored in the restaurant. The ceiling of the great hall is designed with 3000 three-dimensional metal waves in different shades of silver and gold, shaped by the italian company Planium srl. An integrated LED system between the waves imparts a subtle effect of movement. This lighting, conceived by light artist Franck Franjou, is coordinated with the glittering lights of the Eiffel Tower”. The metal waves on the ceiling were made of PRE-ANODIZED ALUMINUM in SILVER and GOLD, 0.5 mm thick. The light plates have been anchored on a polished metal net, welded with assembly hardware always in shiny metal, taking care of every detail until the desired perfection. The assembly of the waves on the net has been developed to make the installation on the ceiling of the restaurant of the prestigious boat precise and rapid.
Flagship Store Nike - London

For the well-known NIKE brand, in the Flagship Store of Oxford Steet in London inaugurated in the summer of 2019, Planium has created a flooring of 1,100 m² laid dry with a mechanical coupling on a washbasin. The installation system allowed a quick, functional, comfortable laying, with no harmful adhesives, immediately to be walked on. The tones of the CALAMINE slabs in square format, 600 x 600 mm, have been accentuated and highlighted by the protective surface treatment. On this dark background, sports clothing and accessories, innovative in design and technology, stand out by offering themselves to the customers of the store in an appealing way. The detail of the angular screw of the Planium installation system SM02 EVOLUTION and the material of the slabs, for aesthetics and technology, act as a harmonious counterpoint to the concept "House of Innovation" established by NIKE for this London branch, but also in New York, Shanghai... The Flaghship Stores will be not only shops for the sale of the brand's products but also a service hub (location for events, venues for the supply of tailor-made shoes for athletes and players sponsored by the brand).
Agostini Museum

Planium has contributed to the realization of this historic place by making particular structural ideas concrete: the floor, the false ceiling, the wall paneling and the word "AGO", nom de guerre of the most successful rider of all time. "Motorcycles were born in a workshop and therefore we conceived the contents of the Museum, of mechanics and not, enclosed as if it were in a Cartier box." Thus Giacomo Agostini, who inaugurated his personal Museum in Bergamo in December 2019, explains how the structural idea of this Trophy Hall was designed together with the Giavarini Studio - Architectura e Design. "Metal" - says Architect Giavarini, "is extremely versatile. As you can see by observing the room, it has been used in numerous ways and covers practically all visible surfaces". STAINLESS CONCRETE, the Planium finish chosen for the floor, was laid using the MG01 MAGNETIC system; this Steel is characterized by a particular texture that refers color to the cement, from which it takes its name. The design core of the whole lies in the evocation of an industrial style, that recalls the motorcycle environment, and therefore with the floor in the same way this process was followed with regard to the choice of the false ceiling, made by Planium with the use of perforated sheet for aesthetic purposes. "The idea", continues architect Giavarini, "was to make a formal and rigorous trophy hall coexist with an environment that recalled the world of racing of the past, similar to a workshop, where interventions on motorcycles were much more direct than today, after the arrival of electronics." The walls of the exhibition hall are characterized by the equipped boiseries that cover the entire perimeter of the museum, created always after a drawing by Studio Giavarini in collaboration with Falegnameria F.lli Gotti. The Planium design area was responsible for creating the aesthetic finish and reinforcement brackets, while Falegnameria has created the internal core of the panels. The galvanized steel paneling has been shaped, cut and folded so as to create a sort of "sandwich" with the core and the brackets and then liquid red painted. Regarding the word AGO, placed in the center of the Trophies Hall, it is made up of aluminum letters, 10 mm thick, cut with bent laser fiber and then liquid painted to obtain a bright red color, which matches the chromatic details of the bikes in the museum and the wall paneling.
Moscova 33

The Set of a New Beginning… Once via Santa Teresa, via Moskva owes its name to Napoleon Bonaparte, who wanted to remember the courage of the Italian soldiers during the battles in 1812. The Moskva is the river that crosses the Russian capital.At number 33 of one of the most historic streets in Milan we retrace what it once was. Like many other stately buildings, the palace had a large internal courtyard with a portico. Here silk merchants and artisans gathered to discuss and negotiate prices, evaluate products and organize deliveries.Starting from the years of the economic boom of the Second World War, it became the exclusive center of financial services. In a phase of total renovation of the area and environments, Planium is called upon to provide a totally CUSTOMIZED project for the large entrance area. It is a new space of over 2,000 m² for retail, 18,000 m² for offices, 6 floors in a hi-tech, efficient and flexible context, where you can enjoy an incredible view of the city. The key material for the renovation of this building with multifunctional courtyards is metal, which our company has known and worked on for over 50 years. For this project, rectangular panels of various sizes were created and aligned with precision; they have been accurately fixed vertically and horizontally. The CALAMINE composition was interspersed with joints with a specially designed and specially dedicated wall bracket.Calamine steel represents an exceptional finish in terms of versatility and aesthetic appeal: the blue tones at various levels, the more gray ones that arrive in dark colors meet warm, golden flames.The final application of the waxing treatment ensured intensity and depth to the changeability of Calamine. The lobbies, illuminated by natural light, are thus covered with all the Planium elegance.
Lights on the Simes Spa Showroom

Planium returns to cover the surfaces of Simes Spa, the protagonist of Italian Lighting Design. The space in question is a place of extreme importance within the Brescia-based company: it is a large room dedicated to all training sessions, a showroom that exhibits all the latest innovations proposed. Meetings are indispensable for transmitting the culture of light and represent one of the founding areas in which Simes' mission takes shape. The showroom is the beating heart of activities that involve architects, planners, lighting designers, installers and who find inspiration and concrete answers to their needs in this space. The floors were the key to the restyling process: 1,200 raised modules with Calamine steel finish, in a splendid CUSTOMIZED solution. The dark surface of Calamine, in contrast with the concrete gray walls, helps to convey the image of an elegant, sophisticated and not at all obvious context. Black dampens the excessive glare that could result from the large amount of light hitting the flooring and the irregular texture that flows through the space accentuates its breadth and gives a feeling of modernity and uniqueness. One of the most important technical aspects that influenced the design choices was the possibility of maintaining the support structure of the existing raised floor (also provided by Planium) and of renewing the surfaces with overlapping 3 mm Calamine slabs, through a custom gluing process to the structural to the raised modules. This made it possible to guarantee the flexibility necessary to update the spaces over time. Simes lighting fixtures, in order to be installed, in fact require recesses inside the flooring. The possibility of being able to independently approach, lift and reposition each tile size 60 x 60 mm, gives the freedom to quickly change the configuration of the environment and install new product lines simply by replacing the single element.
Design Week 2022

Metal-morphosis is the collection of a unique series of artistic plates in copper, brass, calamine, oxidized steel with infinite and sometimes indefinite colors, with textures in which inspirations, emotions, meanings converge: works of art. At Design Week 2022, the Water concept of the dOT in Brera was interpreted by Planium through the tactile and sensory characteristics that metal generates with its synaesthetic references, like a liquid (like water). From a scenographic point of view, there were two pillars of the exhibition, which distinguished the brand among the various installations. By Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman the design of the lunar gallery paved and clad in oxidized Stainless Steel inspired by selenic cartography has given great charm, making it a real perspective scenario, but also of transit. With its chromatic nuances in shades of gray, this “precious casket” has left subjective perceptions in everyone, also referring to its own dimension of space and time. WAVE11, made up of almost 200 finely worked oxidized brass and copper sheets, represented of this the figurative sense in what Maurizio Galante describes as follows:Time and Energy are the fundamental factors in this experimental project, a project that tends to tell the transformation by fixing its moment ... what the Japanese call 'MU', a moment so close to nothing that it becomes everything. The work is then linked to water through the theme of the wave. An artistic creation with a strong golden accent and in open contrast with the colors of steel. Particular was also the emphasis given to the "exit" path from the gallery, with front frame LED lights and studied as in a photographic set. The installation wanted to resume the perspective sequence of the colonnade of the loggia in which it was exhibited, with a structure consisting of 8 consecutive portals of increasing size, through which the light filters in an emotional way, through luminous cuts of 2 cm. Also part of the new Metal-morphosis collection are the MAVI Calypso Tapestries by Işıl Çağatay: oxidations of copper and brass that are inspired by Mediterranean marine colors and cartographic maps of the planet. Blue or coppery streaks with pale yellow, green, blue, brown, brown inserts linked to the colors of the earth. These “canvases” accompanied the Planium stand sideways, exalting themselves with their bright colors especially after sunset. Once I have determined the technique I apply, I let the slabs be free to naturally oxidize and only then do I intervene to highlight and interpret some points, some shapes and shades. It is always a discovery how to find objects at the bottom of the sea that become small treasures in the light of the sun.
Elie Saab

Elie Saab, also known as "ES", is a famous Lebanese designer who has dressed princesses and Hollywood stars. It was precisely in his hometown that he found inspiration in his early days by making clothes for his sisters, demonstrating great talent.His atelier in Beirut is dedicated to haute couture, but his fame soon reached Paris, Moscow, London, New York and Milan with prêt-à-porter. On the first floor of a historic building in one of the most fascinating areas of Milan, the Elie Saab Maison opens its doors, a space that symbolizes the union between fashion and design. A breathtaking location celebrates the luxury of each garment and jewel. The furnishings and coverings amplify the splendor of the context, where the novelties for the Italian market are shown to the public. Different settings recreate the rooms of a real home at different times of the day. Planium proposed for the Maison the coverings and signs in SATIN-EFFECT BRASS-PLATED STEEL at the entrance. The work, developed for the general contractor Exa based on an idea by the architectural firm in charge, was managed by Planium of Terenzi Srl starting from the site surveys and the architects' drawings. The Research and Development team dealt with the engineering, industrialization and management of the production phases. Following some in-house evaluations, a virtual 3D model of the showroom entrance was designed, on which the load-bearing structures of the cladding and signs were then modelled. In co-design with Exa, Planium has designed customized hooking systems, regarding the geometries of the rooms, and has defined the subdivision of the cladding. The executive drawings dedicated to verifying the architectural dimensions and aesthetic alignments between the different elements have been completed.For the construction of the various components, stainless steel sheets have been selected which give greater resistance to wear in an open environment. The satin bronze effect of the aesthetic parts was obtained by subjecting the metal to various galvanic processes of brass plating and manual brushing. All the elements of the cladding were cut using fiber laser technology and were subsequently folded using press brakes.The details and luminous logos were laser welded together and then hand-assembled with precision by specialized personnel. The signs have been designed to be disassembled in case of need and are illuminated by hundreds of high quality LEDs for outdoor environments.
Arteum

Planium in 2016 realized the original project of the designers Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman conceived for the Arteum library/boutique of the Carnavalet Museum. Taylor made furniture and decorations are therefore created and a spectacular ceiling installation that stages "the Sky of Paris", an installation of thin gilded, copper and silver metal strips, laser cut which represents the city crossed by the Seine, with its historic buildings, Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe. A motionless Paris, suspended in time and space: the most loved and visited city in the world, the Ville Lumière. We are in the Arteum space, a bookshop/boutique at the Carnavalet Museum of the city, one of the best known and most renowned with its collections dating back to the modern age with furniture, objects and reconstructions dating back to the Louis XIV, Louis XV styles but also hints at Bastille, at the time of the Second Empire or the more recent and well-known writer Marcel Proust. A symbolic place of the city located in the heart of the Marais district, where the Parisian nobility began to operate urban planning in the 16th and 17th centuries. 9,500 metal sheets fall from the ceiling which together reproduce and pay homage to the symbolic buildings of the city, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame. Gilded on a silver background, they face upside down on both sides of the Seine, represented by small copper-colored blades. All around other "flakes" of silver metal cover what remains of the ceiling of Arteum. The gaze then descends on the walls and lingers on their geometric symmetry. Each space is organized to collect books and objects in a rational way. On the walls, QBò Caoscreo, Terenzi's brand, modular bookcase by Maurizio Galante, Tal Lancman and Luca Terenzi and two large technical tables made ad hoc and in identical colors emerge discreetly, painted in light ivory. All the metal parts made for this project were obtained from combined cycle laser/punching, shearing and press-bending technology, which made the multiplicity of creations possible. The environmental impact is minimal, the different metals used guarantee recyclability and eco-sustainability thanks to their intrinsic characteristics. To recall the successful development of the bookcase, Terenzi Srl was asked to create a reception counter made entirely of QBò modules, which were arranged leaving only one side open to the inside, to create a containment area. Even the top was obtained by covering a layer of mdf in painted steel, in order to obtain a mono-material table.From an aesthetic point of view, everything was achieved through the aforementioned light ivory color since this color characterizes the architectural history of Parisian buildings: the chromatic and stylistic study was carried out by Tal Lancman.
A Splendid Setting: DESIGN WEEK 2023

In the splendid frame of the Cloister of the Church of San Marco in Brera, PLANIUM was part of the dOT - Design Outdoor Taste 2023, with the collaboration of VGCrea.After the 2022 installation with the success of the refined solutions in oxidized metal, Planium rediscovers a distinct dimension in which Materials are the interpreters. Metal is the protagonist of the set-up: ancient, durable and versatile, mankind has always worked and used it. The circular surfaces in brushed steel match the wood of the tables and coffee tables of NewLife, which produces contract furniture. Cosmo was born, on whose silver surface waxing, full and waning moons appear, obtained from artistic oxidation.All around, the Rubelli fabrics of the seats of the And system (design by Alan de la Coba) of NewLife pick up on the tones of the metal tops. Selected in the round versions, like satellites and planets, they are covered with the colors of copper, steel and brass; the fabrics are 100% recycled.In a decorative panel the lunar surface and the planets in space: Flow is designed by Donatella Nobilio and embellished with CALAMINE, STEEL, BRASS, COPPER. This creation was awarded the "Business for Art" prize at the 17th edition 2022/23 of Arte Laguna Prize Venice. Continuing on, you reach an elevated area, a scenario created by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman:“A square space defined by a suspension of thin metal chains that welcome the visitor with their sound and their shimmer. At the center of the space, a family of luminous objects formed by a set of corroded and perforated metal elements, their texture which seems to be the result of a natural aging process creates a magical play of light and shadow.” The Shadow Light illuminating elements designed by the Galante-Lancman duo fall from above. With arched, spherical and ovoid shapes, the luminous works reflect an atmospheric light through inlaid ribs as if they were NATURAL and OXIDIZED BRASS laces.Below, the light descends on Flow by Donatella Nobilio, in the Coffee Table version and its planets in orbit. Once again metal combines with the solid wood of NewLife. Alongside a work in which matter and its experimentation return as in the spotlight, the desire to create strong emotions: Issiba designed by Matteo Tampone. OXIDIZED COPPER integrates into MIRROR STEEL, art and technology are expressed in parallel. For the artist, Planium has combined opaque, oxidized surfaces with reflective surfaces. OXIDATION now takes on a third dimension: from a flat surface, it rises and adds depth; fun to look for your own fragmented shape that appears in the details of him. Together with the mirroring monolith, Alisha Bergere of NewLife, elegant and refined, it shows off a sophisticated dress code: Sumi-Copper, a jacquard trwith an oriental taste that represents a landscape.
