In the prestigious setting inside the loggia of the Cloister of San Marco, PLANIUM presents its new Metal-morphosis collection in a context of elegance, history, art and eco-sustainability.
With a surprising set, which embraces present and future in a kaleidoscopic vision of reality, PLANIUM unveils Unique Surfaces in natural and oxidized Metal. Water, the concept of this edition, is interpreted in its liquid, solid, visual and sensorial forms.
PLANIUM - TGroup, is the second company of the group, in addition to the parent company Terenzi Srl. An original installation takes shape between Technology, Art and Design with a long experience in the transformation of metals (over 55 years). From the raw material we obtain special creations and exclusive Design products.
Conceived by Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman, the exhibition scenario was engineered, built and installed by PLANIUM (P.M. Sergio Vezzani).
The METAL-MORPHOSIS Collection continues along the loggia, spectacular tapestries fall from the spans that are a riot of colors, a tribute to the waters of the Mediterranean sea: the MAVI Calypso series by Işıl Çağatay is unveiled.
The texture, with the original pattern imprinted on the surface through oxidation, recalls the water of the see and its eternal flow. Shaded, irregular colors that arouse a continuous wonder in the eyes of those who stop to look at them.
“Once I have determined the technique I apply, I let the slabs be free to naturally oxidize and only then do I intervene to highlight and interpret some points, some shapes and shades. It is always a discovery how to find objects at the bottom of the sea that become small treasures in the sunlight ". (I. Çağatay).
Fascinating shades emerge from the substrates in an irregular and unexpected way, revealing the type of metal and its unaltered identity; you can notice the warm and particular notes of copper and brass, the essential and cold reflections of steel or the deep accents of the laminates.
The Shadow Light line, designed by Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman and made in each of its components by PLANIUM, is currently on display at the headquarters of Galerie Armel Soyer in Megève, a popular ski resort in France.
A specialized team will be able to study and realize ad hoc projects or work side by side in co-design to the client who wishes it.
Gran Design Australia dedicated an interesting article to the importance of the choice of materials. The resulting well-being influences your body and your mind! The Planium brand has always been close to important issues such as eco-sustainability and the recyclability of raw materials and production processes.
