  • DESCRIPTION

To reinforce the interior scenography of its Italian plant, Amada has chosen Calamine by Planium, a classic of architecture and interior design that has been used a lot in recent years.
Amada is a group founded in 1946 in Japan by Isamu Amada with headquarters in Japan and operating for over 40 years in Europe, specializing in the production of sheet metal working machines. There are 90 companies in the world that refer to the Japanese parent company and among these there is also Amada Italia Srl operating in our country, with headquarters in Piacenza.
This Planium steel, Calamine - which is obtained from the hot rolling of sheets - has a chromatic preponderance of aviation blue, with evident shades ranging from anthracite gray to magenta red, and blue inserts. From a scenographic point of view, its contribution to creating an elegance in dark tones is significant. The project is part of the construction of the Welding Technical Center, a showroom dedicated entirely to welding. “The flooring was selected by choosing this particular type of material mainly for the strong aesthetic impact it is able to offer. Combining elegance and modernity, it has helped create a refined atmosphere in our environments", says Amada, and "The choice fell on Planium not only for its aesthetic qualities, but also because it represents a direct link with our corporate identity and our core business. The idea of using a product that comes to life from our own machines added significant value to the decision." In fact, Planium uses automated machinery for Amada CNC fiber laser cutting also, when necessary, to cut Calamine.
The covered surface area is approximately 100 m² and the installation system adopted is MG01 Magnetic Floor, also by Planium; one of the most popular installation methods for its intuitive simplicity and speed, thanks to the attraction of the magnetic rubber underlay that allows a static support of the tile and attenuates the noise of foot traffic.
