Design Week al dOT - Design Outdoor Taste

PLANIUM exhibits at the dOT - Design Outdoor Taste (7/12th June 2022, 11.00 am - 23.00 pm) the greenest event of the Milanese Fuori Salone, in which Italian design shows the synthesis of the product creation processes. With the "Water" concept, dOT recounts experiences in the contract sector, proposing new "nature experiences" solutions.

PLANIUM in the prestigious setting of Milan Brera, inside the loggia of the Cloister of the historic Church of San Marco, whose square is the beating heart of the Brera Design District, welcomes and presents its new Metal-morphosis Collection in a context of elegance, history, art and eco-sustainability.

Water as a source of life, re-birth, nourishment, well-being, movement, lifeblood full of charm and emotion, fluidity, transparency but also light and color that is reflected in it. Source of life, especially if we talk about raw materials, and source of energy if we focus on transformation technologies. In an era of ecological transition, renewable energy and design that takes into account the principles of the circular economy are fundamental.

In this context, cutting-edge companies and designers emerge.In a surprising perspective, which embraces present and future in a kaleidoscopic vision of reality, PLANIUM unveils unique and personalized surfaces in Metal. For over 20 years we have been covering areas in prestigious contexts in the public and private sectors in the world: hotels, showrooms, points of sale, fairs, museums, car and motorcycle dealerships, offices, banks, schools.

Water is interpreted by PLANIUM in its liquid, solid, visual and sensorial forms. Founding principle of Life, a priceless asset that risks being endangered by pollution and uncontrolled production, Water accompanies us lightly along a path of unique achievements.

The movement, the overflow, the caress of the waves. The rippling surfaces of a stormy sea, the peaceful slide along a river bed, the precipitous fall of a waterfall, as the sand rises and the vegetation moves with the breath of the wind. Our raw material is just as natural, Metal, used in all its forms, facets, types. The name given to this collection wants to express what we know how to do: "transform" the material into creations. The ductility, the colors, the change over time and in the environment of metals and at the same time their strength, eternity, antiquity therefore interpret Water.

History - Piazza San Marco, once part of the Saint Mark’s dock, the point where the water of the canal flowed into an urban port, was also the access point for the waters of the Naviglio Martesana in Milan and the connection of these with the system of the canals of the inner circle. Until the 1930s, the Saint Mark’s lake was used to deliver the paper for to the Corriere della Sera in via Solferino.
